Leading with Intention: Consistency

I've been trying to be a woman of intention more so lately than before. I feel like great things happen when individuals are intentional with their actions and words. It's almost an extension of personal organization. Goals are more likely to be set and followed through. Plans are more likely to be made and executed efficiently. There have been areas of focus that I've particularly geared this motive to and one of those is definitely in my efforts to support small, black owned businesses. Being a small business owner myself, I know how important support is to the entrepreneurial community. Every pay period I try to at least purchase one item from a surrounding black owned business I've come across or made contact with. I especially know that not only does this support my larger community of black entrepreneurs, but it also acts and serves as a blessing to many.  I have also allocated much of this effort to my relationships. Friendships and larger interactions with the ones I love become so much more colorful when they're built on the foundation of intention. I try to make time for everyone, I truly do, therefore

with that comes a responsibility to be intentional in the time I allocate to certain people. Whether that be my siblings, my significant other, my mother and father, or even my larger group of close friends. Everyone has a role they play.and an important type of energy they provide me in my life. I've learned over the years that with great intention comes better execution in the things that matter to me. Keep a planner if you have to, make notes and reminders in your calendar on your phone. We all have to be intentional when it comes to the things that are important to us. How else would we be able to stay so consistent? Consistency is key.
