Negativity is like a cancer. It can kill all potential for positive energy to thrive. Without people there to encourage and facilitate positive energy, many of us would crumble and die. Our hopes, dreams, and aspirations only thrive when nourished by positive impacts. Negative ones are either successful in inhibiting those drives, or (depending upon the individual) can have a counter effect and cause there to be more fuel for motivation.
As I continue to grow into a lifestyle that I can call my own, the importance of positive influence has become vital. I value people and relationships that cater to one another's spirit. A certain type of exchange of information happens when two or more people acknowledge each other's strengths instead of their weaknesses. It allows a space for collaboration and growth for all parties. It creates a chance for something greater than themselves to manifest because without that exchange, the odds that those forces will ever come together again in the same exact form are slim. I continuously challenge myself to make more connections and build up my network for that very reason. There is power is numbers, and even greater power when those numbers are positive. It becomes an equation of addition and not one of the latter. Be someone who wants to add to the equation.
